Quizalofop-P-ethyl, an excellent selective systemic herbicide, is widely used to control grass weeds in fields of broadleaf crops such as rape, soybean, peanut, vegetable and so on in China. With relatively friendly price and nice effect on weed control, quizalofop-P-ethyl boasts comparatively strong competitiveness in domestic post-emergent herbicide market. Nowadays, mainstream single formulations of quizalofop-P-ethyl cover EC 5%, 8.8%, 10%, 10.8%, 15% and etc.

China’s quizalofop-P-ethyl industry has developed steadily in recent years, with technical output growing with a CAGR of over 11% during 2003-2011. As of the end of June 2012, the capacity of quizalofop-P-ethyl technical has reached 2,900t/a, however, the average operating rate is less than 50%. What is the reason of the low operating rate? What is the development trend in the future? Currently, there’re four major domestic quizalofop-P-ethyl technical producers include Jiangsu Fengshan Group Co., Ltd., Shandong Jingbo Agrochemicals Co., Ltd., Anhui Fengle Agrochemical Co., Ltd. and Anhui Huaxing Chemical Industry Co., Ltd.

Presenting an in-depth analysis into China’s current quizalofop-P-ethyl market, this report attaches importance to the following parts:
