Commercial performance is largely determined by field delivery efficiency and stability (e.g., UV and rainfastness, persistence), cost and scalable manufacturing (IVT or fermentation-based expression), and fit with local regulatory and registration pathways. On an ex-works manufacturing basis, gross margins typically fall in the 30% to 50% range, driven by production route, formulation carrier and adjuvant system, quality specifications and batch scale, and downstream channel and service intensity; products in early scaling phases tend to sit in the lower-to-mid part of the range, while offerings with stronger delivery IP or higher-value registered use patterns can trend toward the upper end.
