In 2015, the quantity of new pesticide technical registrations in China totaled 425, with a YoY growth of 0.95%. Out of these registrations, 407 were formal while the other 18 were temporary.
According to the ICAMA, the 425 new pesticide technical registrations approved in China in 2015 were obtained by 184 enterprises, including 174 domestic and 10 foreign enterprises.
According to data from the ICAMA, of the 425 new pesticide technical registrations in China in 2015, 13 were first-time registrations. Out of these 13 registrations, 7 were registered by multinational corporations.
There were 13 herbicide technical which were registered more than 3 times in China in 2015. The most registered herbicides included glufosinate-ammonium, nicosulfuron, dicamba, clethodim, mesotrione and imazamox, which were all registered more than five times.
According to data from the ICAMA, there were 102 new insecticide technical registrations approved in 2015 (renewals excluded), covering 38 active ingredients, which include 35 agricultural insecticides and 4 hygienic insecticides (one is both agricultural insecticide and hygienic insecticide).
In 2015, the quantity of both new registrations and registered varieties of fungicide technical continued to increase. According to the ICAMA, there were 134 new registrations of fungicide technical (excluding renewals), covering 55 active ingredients in 2015.
