In 2009, among the 166 computer body mfg. enterprise above designated size across China, 81 are foreign enterprises, accounting for about a share of 48.8% of all. In terms of the number of enterprises, there were 18 foreign enterprises less than that in 2008, while a decline of 4.72% in terms of the percentage that in 2008.

In terms of the number of enterprises, foreign-funded enterprises and private enterprises are two major types of ownership in the computer body mfg. sector across China. Since 2007, the collective market share of these two classes has always been above 70%. Over the past three years of 2007-2009, the number of foreign computer body mfg. enterprises had showed a relatively stable trend at a compound annual growth rate of -4.6%, which is lower than the industry-wide rate of -1.76%. As a result, the percentage of foreign computer body mfg. enterprises in terms of total number of enterprises suffered a decline of 2.95% over the past 3 years.
