11 Aug 2010 • by Natalie Aster
Russian polymer producer Nizhnekamskneftekhim (Nizhnekamsk) has commenced production of LLDPE in four grades for use in the manufacture of rigid tubular film, regular tubular film, general purpose flat die film, package inserts and stretch film.
One of these grades, PE5118Q, uses both Butene and hexene in its production. It is intended for manufacture of high-strength stretch film, which the company claims is more competitive in price compared with similar stretch film manufactured using Butene only.
