26 Jul 2016 • by Natalie Aster

LONDON – Five home textile industrial cluster areas (Shanghai, Guangdong province, Jiangsu province, Shandong province and Zhejiang province) in China together form a strong home textile industry chain. By late 2015, the number of home textile enterprises with annual sales revenues exceeding CNY 20 million was equal to 2,000 and with annual sales revenues under CNY 20 million was equal to 10,000.

The Chinese home textile market growth is likely to be hindered by changes in prices of raw materials, which accounts for a substantial part (about 50%) of the total production costs of home textile companies.

The domestic demand for home textiles in China is predicted to gain traction in the offing, owing to continuously developing economy and rising number of urban population in the country.
