LONDON – MarketPublishers.com is extremely happy to inform that new Euromonitor International reports covering various countries bottled water markets are now available in its online catalogue.

In Slovenia, the local bottled water marketplace continues to be hit by difficult economic situation in this country and low consumer purchasing power. At present, Slovenians are more cautious about their spending and many of them are highly price sensitive. Private label bottled water becomes increasingly popular as prices for it are significantly lower. In the meantime, consumption of bottled water is dropping, while the demand for tap water is rising. To attract customers, market players use special offers and price discounts. Radenska, a local manufacturer, is the number one player in the country.

In South Africa, sales of bottled water are on the rise given low quality of the country’s tap water. Many new customers fall within higher LSM consumer groups. However, a large number of South Africans continue to consume tap water, particularly lower-income ones. Coca-Cola South Africa is the largest player in the country, with its value share estimated at 33 percent in 2015. The local bottled water marketplace is expected to show sustainable growth in the years to come, showing an increase in total volume at a 5 percent CAGR.

In Russia, the bottled water market suffered less from economic difficulties that the market for juice and carbonates. In 2015, an off-trade volume demonstrated a moderate decrease (by 2 percent) to stop at 4.7 billion litres. Total value sales increased in the same year by more than 5.8 percent in current terms. Coca-Cola Refreshments ZAO and PepsiCo Holdings OOO are the two majors dominating the Russian marketplace.

In Norway, the bottled water market experienced considerable drop in demand in 2015. Ringnes AS is a market leader, and its off-trade value share was more than 59 percent in 2015.
