LONDON – The number of Singaporean high net worth individuals (HNWIs) grew by 2.3% in 2013 reaching 151,025, and their combined wealth stood at USD 7498.8 billion and wealth per person equaled USD 5.0 million. In the next four years, HNWI volumes and wealth are expected to grow. The number of HNWIs in Singapore is expected to increase by just over 18.5%, reaching 182,855 by 2018. The local HNWIs’ wealth is projected to reach USD 1.0 trillion by the end of the forecast period, increasing by just under 29%.

Singapore’s HNWIs held around 33% (USD 246.0 billion) of their wealth outside their homeland as of 2013, which is higher than the world average of 20–30%.
