Argentina Wealth Sector Examined by WealthInsight in New Report Published at MarketPublishers.com

LONDON – At the end of 2013, Argentina’s HNWIs held around USD 57 billion (36%) of their wealth outside their homeland, which is considerably higher than the global average 20-30%. By 2018, the foreign asset holdings are expected to grow to USD 84 billion, accounting for just over 34% of combined HNWI assets in the country. By the same year, allocations in commodities are predicted to decrease to nearly 1.5% of total HNWI assets in Argentina.

As of 2013, Latin America accounted for around 49.3% of the country’s HNWIs’ foreign assets. It was followed by North America and APAC with 24.9% and 11.7% shares, respectively. Between 2014 and 2018, the Argentinean HNWIs are forecast to increase level of investment in Latin America to approximately 51.7% of total foreign HNWI assets, with investments increasingly being directed to emerging economies.
