Experian plc Acquires Decisioning Solutions Inc According to BAC Report

LONDON – In April Experian acquired Decisioning Solutions Inc. as a part of its global expansion strategy. Decisioning Solutions engages in provision of Software-as-a-Service (“SaaS”) platform that assists users in acquisitions and loan originations. Targeted at on US and Canadian markets, Decisioning Solutions platform, however, is multi-lingual and can be applied to any geography. For Experian this acquisition means stronger presence in North American region as well as a good addition to existing services portfolio.

Experian’s strategy of global expansion delivers strong results. For the financial year ended March 2012 revenue increase by 15.5% to USD 4.5 B, gross profit added 14.3% and amounted USD 4.1 B, operating income rocketed by 20.8% to USD 1.05 B, net income comprised USD 655 M which is a 12.7% growth against the previous year. The latest financial semi-annual registered a little slowdown in company’s incomes. While revenue and operating income ended up positive at USD 2.3 B and USD 510 M values, respectively, net income fell below zero point to USD (70) M. North America was the main revenue-generating region with 48% share. Latin America, UK and Ireland, and EMEA/Asia contributed 22%, 18% and 12%, respectively. Credit services accounted for 47% of total company’s revenues, consumer and marketing services were almost equal with 22% and 21% shares, decision analytics added 10% to the total amount.
