Cargotec Corporation to Present its Load Handling Solutions at Bauma According to BAC Report

LONDON – Cargotec’s busness segment Hiab, which engages in the development and marketing of load handling solutions for the construction industry, will present three new machines designed for building sites. The Hiab Moffett M4 truck-mounted forklift is a fast-unloading trailer that can carry up to 2.5 tons. The truck is suitable for work on off-road terrain. The Hiab XS 544 offers is a high-versatile trailer that inflicts reduced environmental impact. The Hiab Multilift XR 7S is capable of performing various tasks with wide variety of body and container types loaded. The machine embodies excellent low weight/high strength ratio.

Last year was not very successful for Cargotec Corporation. Revenue increased by 6% YoY to EUR 3.3 B, but other indicators went down. Thus, gross profit lost 3.6% and amounted EUR 634.4 M, operating income fell down by 36.8% to EUR 103.9 M, net income crashed to EUR 88.9 M which is a 40.2% decline over 2011. The quarter ended December 2012 finished the year with weak results. Revenue equaled EUR 890.2 N, gross profit comprised EUR 159.5 M, operating income amounted EUR 13.6 M, net income was only EUR 8.8 M. EMEA was the biggest revenue generator in 2012, accounting for 40% of the total share. MacGregor segment lost its position as the largest revenue bringer to Kalmar (32% and 43% of company’s revenue respectively).
