Schmolz + Bickenbach AG Appoints CEO and CFO, According to BAC Report

LONDON – Effective 1 February 2013 Johannes Nonn becomes CEO and Hans-Jurgen Wiecha occupies a post of CFO at Schmolz + Bickenbach. Mr Nonn has a long and fruitful career in the steel industry and therefore is to become a valuable officer for the company. he has already been working as CEO at Salzgitter AG, focusing on the company’s steel segment. Mr Wiecha has been a valued finance and accounting specialist at VEBA Oel, Gerresheimer AG and Gerresheimer AG. He has a rich experience of managing financials as a CFO.

Schmolz + Bickenbach has been rather successful during its previous COO rule, Marcel Imhof. 2011 appeared to be very positive year with upward trends. Revenue increased by 25.8% to EUR 4 B, gross profit added 18.2% and equaled EUR 1.2 B, operating income rocketed by 47.3% to EUR 179.6 M, net income grew by 46.2% and comprised EUR 38 M. the results for the first half of 2013, however, are not satisfying. Revenue amounted to EUR 2 B, gross profit equaled EUR 624.7 M, operating and net income scored EUR 66.3 M and EUR 17.4 M, respectively.
