65% of China Hospitals Own at Least One DR System, Reports Maverick China Research

Multifunctional imaging devices can be used for various imaging needs while dedicated purpose systems have a specific application. According to the report “China Digital Radiography (DR) Market Assessment and Outlook 2012-2015” by Maverick China Research, double board systems also produce higher quality images in less time than single board systems. Of the hospitals surveyed, the vast majority of DR systems purchased were multifunctional. All but one of the hospitals surveyed preferred multifunctional DR systems while only one hospital planned to purchase a dedicated function system.

Of the hospitals surveyed, 65% owned at least one DR system. About half of the hospitals owned one DR system, one-third did not own any systems, and approximately one-fifth of hospitals owned two or more systems.
