Boral Limited Reevaluates Its Forecast According to BAC Company Report

LONDON – Boral recently published its forecast for the full-year period ended June 2012. According to that, Net Profit After Tax will fix between AUD 100 M and AUD 110 M. this is a significant reconsider of the index assuming that in December 2011 Boral predicted NPAT of USD 150-175 M for the second half of the financial year. The company had to sell two properties facing adverse business environment: declining sales, supply delays, weaker property sales, slowdown in the residential construction sector, maintenance shutdown at Waurn Ponds Cement Works.

Boral has delivered flat half-year results during the period ended December 2011. Revenue comprised AUD 2.3 B, gross profit equaled AUD 651.6 M, operating income amounted to AUD 78.9 M, net income reached AUD 152.7 M. Australian operations brought 86% of all company’s sales, USA and Asia added 9% and 5%, respectively. The results in whole reflect Boral’s recovery from 2010 net loss and its ability to further improve financials.

With nearly 17500 employees working on 700 sites the company remains of the largest companies in its market, but its main operations are concentrated in Australia.
