Healthways, Inc. to Participate in the INVEST Conference According to BAC Company Report

LONDON – Recently Healthways, Inc announced its participation in the INVEST Tennessee Equity Conference that will take place held June 21 in Nashville (TN). Healthways CEO will speak at 11 a.m. EDT with company’s presentation. The broadcast of the speech will be available online live at the Investors section of Healthways website.
Financial performance of Healthways has not been satisfactory in 2011. All major indicators went down: revenue fell by 4.4% to USD 688.8 M, gross profit and operating income lost 21.4% and 37.4%, respectively, and amounted USD 178 M and USD 63.2 M. Net income crossed zero point and stopped at USD (157.7) M. Such result was caused by drastic changes in American healthcare system and legislation, payment and delivery of healthcare services.
First quarter of 2012 signed a recovery from previous losses. Revenue equaled USD 165.2 M, gross profit was USD 25 M, operating and net income moved close to zero with USD (0.9) M and USD (2.7) M results, respectively. The loss in domestic sales reflected the impact of the reduction in Cigna revenues, while international sales were pressed by poor France market performance.
For the 2012, the outlook stipulates revenues on 2011 level, net income is about to finish positive. In February 2013 the contact with Cigna will expire, and the company already announced that it won’t be prolonged. Therefore Healthways expects revenue loss of USD 80 M in 2013.
