The Indian Food Service Industry is thriving. Higher levels of disposable income among consumers have led to more adventurous tastes and a greater appetite for eating out in many areas of India.

The Indian Food Service industry has gone through many changes over the last few years. More extensive menus and a broader portfolio of outlet brands have been introduced to provide more choice to the Indian consumer.

According to the report “QSR Industry in India (2011-15))” by IS Advisors, the organized segment of the food service industry stands at merely 20% of the total industry. The fastest growing segment in the organized segment of the industry is the Quick Service Restaurants segment (QSR’s).
