Esfahan's Mobarakeh Steel Company Sets New Record According to BAC Company Report

LONDON – In April 2012 Esfahan's Mobarakeh set a new record of daily shipping – 43,200 tonnes of steel sheets. The previous record was fixed in March 2011 and equaled 37,800 tonnes of steel sheets. According to Marketing Department of the company, 36,500 tonnes of current year’s dispatch were sent by road and 6,700 tonnes were shipped by rail.
Esfahan's Mobarakeh shows steady performance as Iranian steelmaking leader. Q4 2011 ended strong with revenues of IRR 11010.5 B, gross profit of IRR 3,763.9 B, operating income of IRR 3094 B, and net income of IRR 2459.1 B. The preliminary unaudited results of financial year ended March 2012 reflect a slowdown in company’s activities. Revenue went up by 22% to IRR 45,844.5 B, gross profit decreased by 1.7% to IRR 14,867 B, operating income declined by 8% to IRR 12,098.4 B, net income lost 24.7% and amounted 10,457.8 B.
