Emirates Driving Company P.S.C. Launched New Facilities According to BAC

LONDON – Emirates Driving Company (EDC) has completed two new expansion projects in February 29, 2012.
The first one covered the main center in Abu Dhabi and includes main building for heavy vehicle training with 2 floors, traffic courses building with 2 floors, four buildings for practical training and tests, control tower, two buildings for heavy and light workshop, stores, petrol station, car wash.
The second project, Al Ain branch, includes main building for heavy training with 2 floors, three waiting buildings for practical training and tests, control tower, two buildings for heavy and light workshop, petrol station, car wash.
EDC is financially stable, though 2011 brought a slowdown into company’s activities. The last quarter closed with revenue of AED 35.5 M, gross profit of AED 19 M, operating income of AED 9.7 M, and net income of AED 12.1 M. Annual results reflect decline in all indices: revenue fell by 10% to AED 138.9 M, gross profit decreased by 5.6% to AED 81.5 M, operating income lost 36.6% and equaled AED 34.5 M, net income amounted AED 43.7 M which is a 33% decline. Totally EDC provided theoretical and practical training for the year 2011 at the main branch (72,278 students), Al Ain Branch (23,261 students), Tarif branch (4,558 students), and Delma branch (117 students).
Founded in 2000 and headquartered in Abu Dhabi (UAE), Emirates Driving Company provides driving courses in its four educational centers located in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Tarif and Delma. The company also offers various advanced courses for actual drivers. EDC focuses on UAE market solely and has no interest in foreign activities.
