Interim Results for Dar Al Arkan Real Estate Development Company Have Been Released: Net Income Adds 7.1% According to BAC Company Report

LONDON – Dar Al Arkan has recently announced quarterly results for the period ended March 31 2012. According to the press release, the quarter returned stronger results than the corresponding period of 2011. Gross profit was SAR 367.5 M compared to the previous SAR 366.6 M (up 0.25%). Operating income equaled SAR 330.6 M, which is 2.7% higher than the previous result. Net income amounted to SAR 292.6 M against SAR 273.1 M of the last year. It is a 7.1% increase. Earnings per share were SAR 0.27 which is 8% higher than SAR 0.25 in Q1 2011.
The increase in the results is due to improved real estate sales, heated up by attractive infrastructure and location of company’s properties.
The results for FY 2011 comparing to 2010 follow:
- Revenue SAR 3.3 B (down 20%)
- Gross profit SAR 1.3 B (down 22.4%)
- Operating income SAR 1.25 B (down 22.7%)
- Ney income SAR 1.1 B (down 25.3%)
