Leoni AG Extends its Product Range for CSP Plants According to BAC Company Report

LONDON - 2012 Hanover Trade Fair will be the first showcase for new and innovative Leoni products designed for concentrated solar power (CSP) plants. These products will form a basis for Leoni leading position in the market of environmental technologies cables.
They will supplement already existing product list of installation cables, inverters, flat wires, strings, and fiber optic cables. New cables are invoked to reduce construction costs, be environmentally competitive, get connected on land and in the air.
The new products geared to fit demands of solar power plants comprise:
- instrumentation cables
- low-voltage cables
- bus cables
- optical cables
- hybrid cables
Leoni did not impress investors with robust results in 2011. September brought a decline in indices comparing to previous quarters of the year. Revenue amounted to EUR 913.1 M, operating income equaled EUR 55.6 M, net income dropped to EUR 32.8 M, profit margin comprised 3.6%. FY 2010 reflect confident recovery from failure 2008 and 2009, with revenue up 36.8% to EUR 3 B, gross profit up 86.7% to EUR 517.5 M, operating income up 212.5% to EUR 129.8 M, net income up 148.6% to EUR 67.1 M. Such strong improvement was caused by fast recovery of automotive industry and large number of big-scale products in Wiring systems division.
