ProSe Based Annual Service Revenue to Reach USD 17 Bn by 2025, States SNS Telecom in its Report Available at MarketPublishers.com

LONDON – Proximity services (ProSe) refer to a device-to-device (D2D) technology enabling LTE devices detect each other and communicate directly. It relies on manifold improvements to present-day LTE standards.
As against current D2D and proximity-based networking technologies, ProSe provides a range of apparent advantages encompassing but not limited to enhanced scalability, privacy, manageability, security and the efficiency of battery.
Efforts to commercialise ProSe-enabled devices are currently being led by the national security and critical communications industry, among the continuous migration from legacy land mobile radio (LMR) systems to LTE networks. Still, there is a much greater opportunity in the commercial area. Phone carriers can leverage ProSe to offer a range of B2B2C, B2B and B2C services that are based on proximity, encompassing social networking, advertising, gaming, relaying traffic for wearable electronics and vehicle-to-everything (V2X) connectivity.
By 2025, ProSe based annual services will likely to reach as much USD 17 billion in revenue, with up to 55% of this revenue figure being attributed to proximity advertising.
New comprehensive research publication “ProSe (Proximity Services) for LTE & 5G Networks: 2017 – 2030” drawn up by SNS Telecom presents an all-round, granular examination of the ProSe marketplace on a global level. The report provides deep insights into the aspects such as enabling technologies, prevalent trends, market growth drivers and challenges, use cases, standardisation, applications, business models, opportunities, pre-commercial case studies, value chain, future development prospects and strategic recommendations. The study also presents detailed projections for ProSe-based cellular provider service revenue as well as the shipments of ProSe-enabled devices through to 2030. The forecast figures cover the various sub-markets and 6 regions.
