Kawasaki Kasei Chemicals Ltd. offers organic acid products, organic acid derivatives, and quinone products primarily in Japan. The company’s organic acid products include phthalic anhydride, which is used in plasticizer, organic pigment, paint, and polyester resin; succinic acid that is used in biodegradable resin, bath agent, and food additive; fumaric acid, which is used in unsaturated polyester resin, bath agent, and food additive; and DL-malic acid that is used in food additive and deodorant. Its organic acid derivatives products offer plasticizer for applications in flexible polyvinyl chloride; and maximol for application in rigid polyurethane foam, non-foaming polyurethane, and reforming agent. The company’s quinone products consist of SAQ, a pulp delignification agent; naphthoquinone that is used in pharmaceuticals, agricultural chemicals, intermediates of pigments and dyestuffs, resin, and polymerization stabilizer; dichloro-naphthoquinone, which is used in pesticide intermediates and catalyst of pigments; ahthraquinone that is used in dyestuff intermediates and pulp delignificationagent; metal-cuntrol, an agent for separation and recovering of precious and heavy metals; acequinocyl for pesticides; NQS for use desulfurizing catalyst; anthracure, which is used in photo-sensitizer; hydroxynaphthoquinone that is used in polymerization stabilizer and pesticide intermediates of agricultural chemicals; and quino power for application in polymerization inhibitor.
