This report shows inpatient procedure numbers for obstetric surgeries reported by all German hospitals between 2006 and 2014.

The report focuses on (1) breech and instrumental delivery: e.g. forceps delivery; vacuum confinement, (2) other surgeries for induction of labor and birth: e.g. amniotomy; surgical measures on fetuses to ease childbirth, (3) cesarean section and child development: e.g. cesarean section; cesarean section extraperitonealis and (4) other obstetric operations: e.g. curettage for termination of pregnancy; reconstruction of female sexual organs after rupture, postpartum.

Over 210 specific procedures are presented.

The report provides a general overview of procedures, plus procedures per 100.000 inhabitants per federal state. Furthermore the “Top 5 performer” - hospitals with the most obstetric surgeries - are identified. These data will support strategic business decisions and guide sales activities.
