The data focuses on (1) acute upper respiratory tract infection: e.g. acute sinusitis; acute pharyngitis; acute tonsillitis, (2) flu and pneumonia, (3) other acute lower respiratory tract infections: e.g. different types of acute bronchitis, (4) other diseases of the upper respiratory tract: e.g. vasomotor and allergic rhinitis; chronic rhinitis; chronic sinusitis; chronic laryngitis and laryngotracheitis, (5) chronic diseases of lower respiratory tract: e.g. different types of bronchitis; emphysema; status asthmaticus; bronchiectasis, (6) lung diseases due to external agents: e.g. coal workers' pneumoconiosis (CWP); pneumoconiosis due to asbestos and other inorganic fibers; pneumoconiosis due to silica dust; pneumoconiosis due to other inorganic dusts, (7) other diseases of respiratory system, mainly affecting the interstitium: e.g. adult respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS); pulmonary edema; pulmonary eosinophilia, (8) suppurative and necrotic conditions of lower respiratory tract: e.g. lung abscess; pyothorax, (9) other diseases of pleura: e.g. pleural effusion; pleural plaques and (10) other diseases of the respiratory system: e.g. different types of respiratory insufficiency.

Altogether over 280 diagnoses are described in detail.

The report provides a general overview of diagnosis numbers, plus diagnoses per 100.000 inhabitants per federal state.

Furthermore, the “Top 5 diagnostic hospitals” – those with the most bone fracture diagnoses – are identified. These data will support strategic business decisions and guide sales activities.
