  • In December 2015, the government officially merged PT Reasuransi Umum Indonesia (RUI) with PT Reasuransi Indonesia Utama (RIU) to form a single reinsurer: Indonesia-Re.
  • Effective December 31, 2014, the minimum capital requirement for insurers was increased to IDR100.0 billion (US$9.6 million), while for reinsurers it rose to IDR200.0 billion (US$15.0 million).
