Highlights

Energy, Water and Sanitation Authority (EWSA) is a government owned utility company. The authority carries out generation, transmission and distribution of electric power and water in the Republic of Rwanda. The merger of Rwanda Electricity Corporation-Rwanda Water and Sanitation Corporation (RECO-RWASCO) formed EWSA. Since March 2011, EWSA undertakes the electricity generation and sewage management activities, which were earlier under the control of the Government of Rwanda. The authority has total installed capacity of 84.4 megawatt (MW). EWSA provides sufficient and quality water and electricity to its customers.
