Chinese Glyphosate Sector Recent Development Reviewed by CCM Chemicals in Topical Monthly Report Published at MarketPublishers.com14 Mar 2016 • by Natalie Aster
LONDON – In February 2015, China's glyphosate industry remained in a bad shape. Some producers are still concerned about large levels of inventory and capacity utilisation in the domestic industry. The stocks of listed glyphosate makers, comprising Nantong Jiangshan, Jiangsu Yangnong and Zhejiang Wynca, find investors' favour again, with the stock prices surging and even going beyond the limit one by one. Further, a number of glyphosate manufacturers have achieved anticipated profit in Q2 2012 due to the increasing profitability of glyphosate.
The ex-works glyphosate TC price remained stable in the first half of February 2016 as against the same period in January 2016. The price is expected to remain at the bottom and can possibly decline slightly before the CAC 2016 Conference Week held in Shanghai.
As of 2015, the export volumes of glyphosate TC and glyphosate-based formulations dropped 6.07% and 8.79% YoY, respectively, in China. In December 2015, the export volumes of glyphosate TC and glyphosate-based formulations increased 8.45% and 43.51% MoM, respectively, in the country.
Zhejiang Wynca intends to improve its technology level by relocating its Bainanshan Production Base to Jiande High-tech Industrial Park (Hangzhou city, Zhejiang province). The relocation is projected to bring substantial economic benefits to the company.
As of 2014, the pesticide revenue of Weifang Rainbow stood at USD 469.46 million, making the company rank fourth amongst the 100 leading pesticide enterprises in the country.
