Western Potash Corp. Project is Under Revision According to BAC Report

25 Mar 2013 • by Natalie Aster

LONDON – Beginning of February the Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment launched an environmental impact study for the Milestone Potash Mine project being developed by Western Potash. The study was to be finished in a month, and the results are still to be released. If the Ministry approves the project, the company will be able to start development works according to the plan.

Western Potash is still in the stage of development, and therefore generates no incomes. Company’s expenses, on the contrary, increase year over year. Thus in 2012 its net loss accounted for CAD 19.3 M against CAD 13.8 M of the previous year. The enterprise enjoys strategic location, good feasibility and solid strategy. It plans to start production in three years.

Founded in 2007 and headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia (Canada), Western Potash engages in development of a potash mine in Saskatchewan. Upon receiving Environmental Assessment the company will start mine development and construction. Commercial production is to start in 2016.
