Tisak d.d. Celebrates 4th Birthday According to BAC Company Report

LONDON - 27th May Tisak celebrated its fourth birthday, and it prepared lots of discounts, benefits and surprises for their loyal customers that lasted for a period of 21 May to 10 June in all media centers.

Striving to innovate and modernize their operations, Tisak attached a birthday QR code in all press media centers. Scanning a single matrix barcode opened a special site that allowed customers to participate in the birthday contest. Accurate answers to several questions about Tisak on every site entry put the customer at the raffle of the main prize – the Nintendo Wii console. Tisak also made a few consolation prizes, as well as birthday discounts and benefits for all its visitors in the kiosks across Croatia.

Tisak faces challenging economic environment, striving to expand its network and product portfolio. Year 2011 was marked by recovery from unprofitable 2010. Revenue grew by 9.3% to HRK 3.2 B, gross profit added 7.1% to HRK 303.9 M, both operating and net income were able to return from negative numbers to HRK 28.1 M and HRK 23.9 M points, respectively. Q1 2012, however, reflected a slowdown in company’s activities. Revenue amounted HRK 707.8 M, gross profit equaled 71.5 M, operating income and net income both appeared below zero point at HRK (2.8) M and HRK (4) M, respectively.

Formed in 1994 and headquartered in Zagreb (Croatia), Tisak d.d. operates largest in Croatia retail news-stand chain and besides printed product distributes ride tickets, tobacco, prepaid cards. The company also offers delivery services for small packages across Croatia. Tisak is a member of Agrokor concern, but it is financially independent and trades on Zagreb Stock Exchange under the ticker TISKRA.
