Kingfisher Airlines Limited is one of the country’s largest airlines, operating more than 400 flights a day and having a wide network of destinations, with regional and long haul international services. With 60 destinations to offer, Kingfisher has widest reach in Delhi.

It has fleet size of 66 aircrafts and an average schedule comprises of 366 domestic and 28 international flights daily over a route network (as on March 31, 2011) covering 59 domestic and 8 international destinations.

‘Oneworld’ has set the growth path for KFA into key international markets with enhanced connectivity and traffic sources from world’s largest airlines – British Airways, Qantas, Cathay Pacific, American Airlines, etc. KFA has already exceeded fair share of the local O&D markets in 11 out of 14 routes it operates vs. its capacity share. Besides, the alliance would enable it to offer better fares to destinations where it does not have direct flights.

With Kingfisher joining the alliance, Oneworld will gain a major boost in its presence at India’s major airports. Over 90% of total capacity at India’s five largest airports (by seats) – Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru and Kolkata international airports – is deployed by carriers which are not aligned to any alliances at present.
