Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) – Modular, Versatile, and Effective
Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) are an important in-building and outdoor cellular augmentation option for mobile operators. The DAS is an integrated network that connects spatially separated antennas locally to remote access units via coaxial cable or fiber optic cable. DAS platforms can concurrently support multiple carriers and multiple frequencies spectrum channels. When properly installed, DAS is a low-power and low-interference effective cellular platform. As the backbone of an in-building wireless infrastructure, DAS can also be used to host public safety applications. In metro areas where permits for cell towers or macro base stations are hard to acquire, DAS becomes a viable option.

As DAS is not the sole in-building technology, this report discusses the proper use case for DAS, Wi-Fi, and small cells. Additionally presented are forecasts for new DAS installations over ten market verticals and across six major regions, and vendor profiles for the most prominent integrators, equipment manufacturers and operators in the global DAS space.

The deliverable is comprised of a PDF and an Excel spreadsheet.
