OPIL is one of the India’s low cost cement producers. The company has two manufacturing facilities for cement. Among them one is located in Devapur, Andhra Pradesh and the other one Jalgaon, Maharashtra. The main plant is located in Devapur (capacity 3mtpa) and the grinding unit in Jalgaon (capacity 2mtpa). The company produces portland pozzolana cement (PPC) and ordinary portland cement (OPC).
OPIL is the largest manufacturer of electrical fans in India and also India’s largest exporter of fans. The company holds around 17% market share in the organized sector. Apart from fans, this segment produces CFL, FTL and luminaries. The production facilities of this segment located in Faridabad (in Haryana) and also in Kolkata (In West Bengal) and the aggregate fan production capacity stood at 50 lac. units per annum. The major brands of this segment are Orient PSO (fans) and Orient OLO (CFL/FTL).
The company is a largest producer of tissue papers and is considered as the industry benchmark for note book papers. OPIL produces tissue papers, writing & printing papers, photocopying papers and branded note books. OPIL holds 40% market share in the tissue paper market. The major brands of the company in this segment are Diamond Touch, Orient and 1st Choice. The paper manufacturing facility of the company is located in Amlai (in M.P.). Apart from this, the company has one more paper manufacturing factory in Orissa, which is currently not operational.
