This report is devoted to investigation of the market of railway wheels in the CIS. The report consists of six chapters and contains 121 pages including 37 Tables, 31 Figures and 2 Appendices.
The sources used data of Federal Service of State Statistics of Russia, Federal Customs Service of Russia, the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of Ukraine, scientific and technical literature, industry, regional and international press, as well as web-sites of company-producers and consumers of railway wheels in Russia and Ukraine.
The first chapter describes the technology of solid-rolled railway wheels, set out the basic requirements for their quality.
The second chapter discussed in detail the production of rolled railway wheels in Russia and Ukraine. This chapter shows the production of this product over the past 13 years, and also described the Russian and Ukrainian producers of railway wheels.
The third Section is devoted to foreign trade operations of Russian and Ukrainian market of rolled railroad wheels. This chapter provides an analysis of Russian and Ukrainian export-import supplies of this product during the period of 2002-2011, describes the directions of the supplies, data on the structure of foreign trade wheels for railway rolling stock in Russia and Ukraine.
The fourth chapter describes the contemporary price situation on the Russian and Ukrainian markets, rail and wheel products.
The fifth chapter is devoted to the consumption of rolled railway wheels in Russia and Ukraine, it shows the balance of production and consumption, discussed in detail the major consumers of this product.
The sixth chapter gives a brief analysis of trends and prospects for the global market of railway wheels. This chapter provides forecasts of rail transport in 2030 and given a detailed forecast of production and consumption of railway wheel production to 2017.
The appendices to the report provided contact information of the largest Russian producers and consumers of rolled railway wheels in Russia and Ukraine.
