Lumpy (Solid) Alkali Silicates and Water Glass Market Research in the CIS
This report is currently available in Russian language only. However, we can provide an English version of the report within 3 weeks after receiving a payment.
This report focuses on research of current lumpy alkali silicates and water glass market conditions in the CIS countries and forecast of its development. The report consists of 6 chapters, contains 132 pages including 50 tables, 32 figures and Annex.
This work is a desk study. As information sources, data of Rosstat, Inter-State Statistic Committee of CIS, the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation, State Customs Service of Ukraine, Agency of Statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan, official statistics of rail transportation of the Russian Federation, sectoral and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of companies were used, as well as information from web-sites of enterprise-producers of lumpy alkali silicates, water glass and soluble sodium and potassium silicates.
In the first chapter of the report information on existing technologies of production of lumpy alkali silicates and water glass, their features, required raw materials and their quality is presented. Also in this chapter data on the main suppliers of raw materials (quartz sand and soda ash), directions and volumes of the supplies are given.
The second chapter of the report is devoted to production of lumpy alkali silicates and water glass in the CIS countries. This chapter lists the requirements of the existing normative-technical documentation for the quality of soluble sodium silicate (lumpy alkali silicates) and water glass, manufactured at their base, stats on manufacture of the products in the CIS countries.
Due to the fact that at present time the position of binding of commodity statistics are only soluble sodium and potassium silicates (lumpy alkali silicates) are liable to obligatory statistic reporting (a a commodity item), while statistics on production volumes of water glass is not reported and collected, this report considers only the production of lumpy alkali silicates and water glass, obtained from the given raw materials (lumpy alkali silicates).
In this chapter, the report presents statistical data on volumes of production of lumpy alkali silicates in the CIS countries in 1997-2009, and describes current position of the largest manufacturers of these products.
In the third chapter of the report presents data on foreign trade of Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan in sodium and potassium silicate.
The fourth chapter presents data on prices on sodium and potassium silicates on the Russian domestic market, and analyzes data on changes in export and import prices on these products in 1999-2009 and nine months of 2010.
In the fifth chapter of the report consumption of sodium and potassium silicates in Russia is described. This chapter provides supply-demand balance of the products, sectoral and regional pattern of the consumption, describes current position of the major industries which consume sodium and potassium silicates and current position of and prospects for the largest enterprise-consumers.
In the sixth chapter of the report forecast of development of Russian market of soluble sodium and potassium silicates for the period up to 2015 is presented.
The Annex includes addresses and contact data of the main company, producing sodium and potassium silicates in the CIS countries.
