This report is currently available in Russian language only. However, we can provide an English version of the report within 3 weeks after receiving a payment.

This report focuses on research of current market conditions of industrial catalysts in Russia and forecast of its development. The report consists of 7 chapters, contains 309 pages including 36 figures, 106 tables and annexes.

Methodologically, the work was carried out in two phases. In the first phase so-called 'desk' researches were carried out. We have analyzed multiple sources of information, first of all, data of state bodies - the Federal Service of State Statistics (FSSS of the Russian Federation), Federal Customs Service (FCS), statistics of domestic railage. In addition, we used the data of sectoral and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of companies, websites of enterprises, as well as scientific and technical literature.

In the second phase, interviews were conducted with manufacturers of catalysts in order to confirm the information, obtained at the first stage.

The introduction presents brief characteristics of the catalysts.

The first chapter of the report describes the classification of catalysts by application (oil refining, chemical, petrochemical, for gas purification, automotive catalysts (catalytic converters)) and chemical composition (metal, oxide, sulfide, organometallic, complex and so on).

In the second chapter of the report, information about the raw materials, necessary for production of catalysts, and its characteristics is presented. In addition, data on the main suppliers of raw materials are given.

The third chapter is devoted to the production of catalysts in Russia. This chapter presents mix of the produced catalysts. The statistical data on volumes of the catalysts manufacture in Russia for major producers are given, as well as estimates for companies that do not provide data to Goskomstat (FSSS). Also in this chapter a detailed description of 25 Russian manufacturers of catalysts and foreign companie, which have established in Russia its subsidiary companies for the production of catalysts, and major research organizations engaged in the development of technology and mix of the catalysts is provided.

In the fourth chapter of the report data on foreign trade operations in catalysts in Russia in 2001-2009, including export-import of catalysts, containing precious metals, are presented. In addition, a description of the major foreign company-suppliers of catalysts to Russia is given.

The fifth chapter presents data on import and export prices of various grades of catalysts in the 2001-2009.

In the sixth chapter of the report consumption of catalysts in Russia by end-uses is described. This chapter provides supply-demand balance of the product, describes sectoral structure of the consumption, shows the basic consumers, as well as the current position and prospects of the largest enterprise-consumers.

In the seventh chapter of the report forecast of development of Russian market of the catalysts for the period up to 2015 is presented.

The Annex includes addresses and contact data of enterprises producing and consuming catalysts.
