Foreign Trade Turnover of Silicon Carbide in Russia for 2006-2007 ..

2. Definition of main countries-participants of foreign trade turnover.

General conclusions:

One of the directions of silicon carbide application is using it as abrasive material to manufacture grinding tools.

During research period of foreign trade turnover the export deliveries volumes of silicon carbide had exceeded import significantly. So, in 2006 comparing with 2005 in spite of small reduction of coming-out (-2,4%) of silicon carbide from Russia and increase of coming-in (+32,5%) of silicon carbide to Russia the export volumes exceeded the import factors in 4.2 times, the positive balance is 25,129.0 tons.

In 2006 the dominate countries-receivers of Russian silicon carbide, the share of which are about 70% of total coming-out volume, are the following: Belgium – 20.5%, Norway – 19.6%, Czech Republic – 18.8%, Poland – 9.1%.

The main country-supplier of silicon carbide to Russia in 2006 was Ukraine – 69%. Besides, some countries had the high coming-in share among others as well such as Finland – 8% and China – 9%.

During 2006 year the average price of one ton of silicon carbide made in Russia and abroad had the insignificant oscillatory movements and worked out: while export – $714.1 per ton and import – $875.9 per ton.
