Calcium Nitrate Production, Market and Forecast in the CIS
This report is available both in Russian and English versions.
The report presents an overview of the calcium nitrate market in the CIS. The report is based on analysis of data of Federal State Statistics Service of RF (FSSS), Federal Customs Service of RF (FCS), State Customs Service of Ukraine (SCSU), State Statistics Committee of CIS countries, of the official Russian domestic railage statistics, data of 'InfoMine', data of enterprises, and results from telephone interviews with the market participants. The report consists of 6 chapters, contains 80 pages, including 49 tables, 13 figures, and the Appendix.
The first chapter of the report presents information about the technology of production of calcium nitrate and the required raw materials.
The second chapter is devoted to the analysis of the calcium nitrate production in the CIS. This chapter contains the requirements of the existing normative and technical documentation for the quality of calcium nitrate, statistics of its production in the years 1999-2010, estimates of the regional pattern of production, and the description of the major producers of calcium nitrate.
The third chapter examines the foreign trade operations with calcium nitrate in Russia and Ukraine. It presents data on exports and imports of the product and estimates the regional pattern of supplies. In addition, foreign trade operations in Russia and Ukraine with concrete additives based on calcium nitrate are considered separately.
The fourth chapter contains information about current prices of calcium nitrate producers in the CIS, and data on changes in export and import prices for this product in Russia and Ukraine. An analysis of prices for concrete additives based on calcium nitrate is presented separately.
In the fifth chapter of the report supply-demand balances of calcium nitrate in Russia and Ukraine are presented, as well as supply-demand balance of concrete additives based on calcium nitrate in Russia; the sectoral structure of consumption of the product is estimated; factors that cause demand for calcium nitrate in the domestic market are analyzed, the main consuming industries and companies-consumers are described.
The sixth chapter of the report contains a forecast of the production and the consumption of calcium nitrate in Russia to 2015.
The appendix provides contact information of producers and consumers of calcium nitrate.
