Analysis of Carbon Fibres and Threads Consumption in Russia, 2011

The survey is devoted to carbon materials (fibres, threads, fabrics, pre-pregs) сonsumption in Russia.The level of production and consumption of carbon fibres in Russia is legging behind from most of the developed countries. High price on carbon fibres manufactured in Russia makes their usage difficult in many industries (construction,medicine,automobile industry, sport industry, etc).

The main consumers of carbon fibres in Russia at the moment are aerospace industry and atomic energetics. However, in the near future Russian manufacturers are planning to increase the level of production by means of using improved technologies and equipment which would lead to the price drop and wider usage of the product.

Also the survey deals with the manufacturing of carbon nanotubes (CNT) in Russia and further development of this industry.

The survey highlights:

• Description,type and classification of CF(carbon fibres), characteristics of the manufacturers worldwide, descripton of capacities, factories location,company status in the industry
• Physical and mechanical characteristics of diffrent types and sorts of carbon fibres manufacured in Russia,Belarus and worldwide
• Description,the method of manufacturing and application areas of carbon nanotubes, characteristics of Russian manufacturers
• Diffrent methods of manufacturing carbon fibres and raw materials for carbon fibres production
• The factors influencing the usage of carbon fibres in diffrent industries and alternative products
• Characteristics of Russian and Belorussian manufacturers, allocation of the product consumption in Russia and Belarus in diffrent industries
• Analysis of inner carbon materials consumption used for the composite materials production, export level, size of consumption in diffrent industries
• Export analysis. Export data are given up to 2010 inclusive. Delivery of carbon threads, fibres and semi-finished products are given separately (production country and a manufacturer are included)
• Carbon fibre prices in Russia, Belarus and worldwide (up to 2010)
• The forecast of carbon fibres market development based on the survey results
