PROKON Nord Energiesysteme GmbH (PROKON) is principally engaged in the development, planning, construction and operation of renewable energy projects. In addition, the company is engaged in the logistics and installation for offshore wind farms. PROKON is engaged in the industrial manufacture of wind turbines, rotor blade and cast parts and has a bio ethanol production plant with an annual capacity of 300,000 liters. PROKON has erected more than 90 onshore wind turbines and also focused on the planning and realization of ground-breaking offshore projects. The company is in the process of increasingly establishing itself as a supplier in the offshore area. Furthermore, the company's biomass CHP plant with a annual capacity of 100,000 m3 and the steam power plant in Weener working with refuse derived fuel show its broad incorporation into the market. PROKON is currently working on three offshore wind farms, namely, Borkum-West II and MEG Offshore I, with 80 wind turbines and type M5000 will be placed on each wind farm having an annual production of about 1,500 million kWh. The wind farm Cote d’Albatre is planned to be with 21 M5000 turbines with an expected annual output of 360 million kWh. PROKON is headquartered at Leer, Germany.
