Harford Bank engages in general commercial and retail banking business serving individuals, businesses, and governmental units in Harford County, Maryland and neighboring counties. It operates six banking offices in Harford County, Maryland, and one branch office in Cecil County, Maryland, with the Bank’s main office located in Aberdeen, Maryland.

Deposits and Related services

The Bank offers deposit services customary for a state-chartered community bank, including checking accounts, NOW accounts, savings accounts, and other time deposits of various types ranging from money market accounts to longer-term certificates of deposit. It also offers Individual Retirement Accounts. The Bank solicits these accounts from individuals, businesses, associations and organizations, and governmental authorities.

The Bank’s other banking services include on-line banking with bill payment, cash management services, safe deposit boxes, direct deposit of payroll and social security checks, and ACH origination. It is associated with STAR Money Pass networks of automated teller machines that may be used by Bank customers throughout Maryland and other regions. It also offers Visa check (debit) card.

Lending Activities

The Bank offers a range of short to medium term commercial and personal loans. Commercial loans include both secured and unsecured loans for working capital, business expansion and purchase of equipment and machinery. Consumer loans include secured and unsecured loans, for financing automobiles, boats, mobile homes, education, bill consolidation, and home improvements. It also originates mortgage loans, real estate construction loans, and real estate acquisition loans.

The Bank’s loan portfolio includes commercial loans, financial loans, agricultural loans, real estate construction and land development, real estate secured by farmland, real estate residential, real estate commercial, and consumer loans.

Investment Portfolio

History

Harford Bank was founded in 1964 as Aberdeen National Bank. It changed its name to Harford National Bank in 1980 and to Harford Bank in 2001.
