The company's primary market area for its banking operations consists of North and South Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Georgia, eastern Tennessee, West Virginia, Kentucky, Florida, Alabama, and Washington, D.C. In addition, it has a banking presence in Texas and Indiana.

Lending Activities

The company conducts the majority of its lending activities within the framework of its community bank operating model. The company’s loan portfolio is divided into six major categories: commercial, sales finance, revolving credit, direct retail, mortgage, and specialized lending.

Commercial Loan and Lease Portfolio: The company’s commercial lending program is targeted to serve small-to-middle market businesses. In addition, the company’s Corporate Banking Group provides lending solutions to corporate clients. Commercial and small business loans are primarily originated through the company’s banking network. Majority of its commercial loans are secured by real estate, business equipment, inventories, and other types of collateral.
