China Wealth Sector Canvassed in New WealthInsight Study Now Available at MarketPublishers.com

LONDON - As of 2013, there were more than 1.2 million high net worth individuals (HNWIs) in China, up by 5.5 percent from 2013. In 2013, the number of the local HNWIs grew by approximately 12 percent from a year earlier.

In 2013, each HNWI in China held slightly over USD 3.38 million in wealth on average. Total wealth of the local HNWIs amounted to USD 4.3 trillion in the same year. In late 2013, the HNWIs held around 18 percent (USD 796 billion) of the wealth not in China, while the worldwide average ranges from 20 percent to 30 percent. 

The number of HNWIs in the country is set to continue growing (by more than 27 percent each year) in the years to come to hit the mark of 1.7 million by 2018. In the meantime, the total wealth is forecast to amount to above USD 7.1 trillion by 2018.
