The United States remains a leader in the provision of architectural services

According to a report released by Barnes Reports and entitled Worldwide Architectural Services Industry, the profit generated by this sector in the United Stated rises by 5% a year. In 2006, sales topped $22.6bn. In 2007, revenues will hit $23.9bn.

Company experts predict that the gains obtained from the provision of various architectural services in America will reach a world record of $25.2bn in 2008.

Being the world’s second-largest with regards to profitability, Japan’s market for architectural services accounts for 61.3% of the US market. In 2006, the sector made $14.1bn. Further insignificant profit growth is expected: $14.6bn in 2007 and $15bn in 2008.

German market for architectural services is the world’s third-largest, though it accounts for just 28.8% of the analogous US market. In 2006, revenues generated by this sector in Germany hit $6.7bn (up 0.6% on 2005). Sales forecast is as follows: $6.84bn in 2007 and $7.012bn in 2008.

The smallest profit in the architectural services industry was made by the following countries: India ($1.19bn in 2006) and Russia ($1.032bn), which accounts for 6% and 5.5% of the US market respectively.
